Phi Phi island

After Koh Phangan me and Kati went to Krabi-Railay beach and stayed there for 3 nights. Nice but small place. The beach was amazing though! We did the rock climbing there, 12 and 30 meters high, it was so much fun and beautiful view from the top! After that we met Niina and Piia at Krabi-Ao nang, stayed there for one night. Yesterday we came to Phi phi Don. Water is nice and blue! Yesterday it rained for a few hours like hell and great lightnings! Today me and Kati went out with cayak and saw some sea sausages! Tomorrow we are going for a party boat cruise to see 5 different places (incl. maya bay where the beach was filmed), snorkeling and swimming in the ocean! :) Everything is still fine and loving my life!

Koh Phangan

So we arrived to Thailand, Bangkok on the 5th of January. We traveled about 31 hours: airplane, bus and ferry. We bought flight tickets from BKK to Surat thani and from there bus and ferry to Koh Phangan. 

First night we were at pool party and the beach until late. On Friday Later we met my aussie friends Kristy and Vlad and had dinner with them. On Saturday afternoon Niina and Piia came here as well and me and Kati went to have an oil massage, sooo nice! Later that night we went to the pool party and jungle party, yeah it's a party in jungle :D Yesterday it was the party everyone have been waiting for: FULL MOON PARTY! In the afternoon me, Kati, Vlad and Kristy drove with scooters to a lake place up north of the island, took about half an hour to drive there. Really beautiful place with a swing and water trampolines! After spending there the whole day just chilling we went to get ready for the night! Painting each other with neon colored paints. Then we went to the party beach were was about 20 000 people and partied until 7 am! 

Today is gonna be just a chilling day, not going to do much. We have planned to still be here for 2 days and then go to Koh Tao, Krabi and Phi phi. I will put some pictures later. Everything is just good! Living my dream! :)

2 days!

Okay just two days left and still not gettin' it that we are really going somewhere..:D We had a party yesterday for our friends at a pub called El Gringo where we both have been working. I got sick on Friday while I was working and couldn't work at all on Saturday, New Years Eve..not fun! :( So yesterday I felt a bit better and thought that I have to go to the party 'cuz we had arranged that already..but it happened to be a really bad idea, cuz today when I woke up, I had fever 39 degrees and throat was hurting badly. So I had to go to the doctor and take some tests..hope I will get better before Wednesday when we are leaving! Here some photos of yesterday :)

Okay this is coming so quickly..Just we booked the flights to Bangkok (September) and now it's already Christmas eve soon and New Years eve and then BUM and we are on our way to the airport Vaasa -> Helsinki -> BANGKOK!

We were looking for some flights to Koh Samui with Kati tonight, but it's kinda expensive and full booked so we decided to book the flights from there instead! :D So the adventure will begin at BKK airport! :D Either we are one night on Khaosan road and then to Full moon party or then we fly straight to Koh Samui or Surat Thani..we will see that at the destination :D Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year everyone!! <3

Annika goes to South East Asia!

Yeah, going to South East Asia again!! :D Only this time travelling and fooling around! Who wouldn't want to go back to that paradise?!? Me and three other girls are flying the 4th of January to Bangkok and then straight to Surat Thani and then to Koh Phangan and full moon party, which is the 8th of January.

Dunno yet how long we are going to stay there, but then Koh Tao for diving course then Krabi and Phi Phi and some other small paradise islands :)


Then the plans are to fly to Cambodia, bus/train or tuk tuk to Vietnam and then finally Laos for the third time!! :D So hopefully we will be able to travel for at least 3 months, had a bit problems with saving some money, thought i have two jobs now, but not so good at it..
So we will be travelling and getting some new and fun experiences! Also I want to go to places that I didn't have time while I was doing my exchange in Thailand in March-May 2011.


Soooo looking forward to this!! :D

Full moon party may 2011

The last holiday before we have to go back to Finland..what to do..everyone else is going to Vietnam and Phi Phi..hmm..FULL MOON for sure!! :D So me and Kaisa went to Koh Phangan to the Full moon party! We got there on Sunday afternoon, then we had to find a guesthouse where to stay for the week. We rented a moped and decided to drive and search for something. The ride wasn't so easy 'cuz the roads are REALLY high, so Kaisa had to walk up a bit. Finally we found Sun cliff resort, cheap room with a pool and not far away from THE beach. We decided to go to the pool and then eat something and walk around the places a bit.

We went to Same same restaurant to eat, I had Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes with lingonberry jam :P There were everyday some parties, usually pool parties at Coral Bungalows, the biggest and most popular place on that area. We were there few times and on the beach and pool. Full moon party was on Wed the 18th of May. It was such a great and fun day and sooo much people on the beach! Something like 50 000 people, it wasn't so easy to find friends when someone got lost! But everyone was so happy and friendly that if I lost my friends, I found new friends right away :D Some pictures:

Laos part II 28.4-7.5

Yes it's true, I went to Laos AGAIN! :D My friend was going and asked if I want to go with her and why not?!? Place is so amazing that I could go there for the third time! So we took the bus at 7 pm on 27th of May and were in Vang Vieng on 28th of May round 2 pm, long ride but totally worth it!

We were almost every day (except one) tubing by the river. I was working for 8 days this time. Actually I can't call it working because I was just helping the bar a bit and it was so much fun! Basicly I was talking to people, playing games, taking empty cans away from the tables and watching that everyone is safe on the slide! :)

I can warmly recommend that place to anyone! Got so many new friends again! Maybe next year back again, who knows?!? :D
